About GAIL (Global Affiliation of Independent Lawyers)
GAIL is an informal and non-exclusive network of independent law firms located all over the world. The concept was 1st proposed by Tan and Tan Lawyers in November 2001. GAIL's main purpose is to provide a forum through which its independent members can exchange information regarding legal and business developments.

The members have also agreed to refer clients to each other. The referral of clients to member firms ensures that the clients are guaranteed the same level of service and support that is expected from the referring law firm.

The member firms of GAIL share the following characteristics:

• Most are of medium size with the ability to devote personal attention to their clients.
• Members have broadly based commercial, corporate, and business practices.
• Members must have litigation capabilities.
• All have international as well as domestic practices.
• All have the capability of working in English.
• All have websites where information can be obtained regarding the members' law practices.

The members are law firms which are totally independent. GAIL is continuously inviting law firms from different jurisdictions to join as members.
